Opening Night Live To Show Off 38 Games, New Announcements Also Planned

The German Games Industry Association (GGIA) had announced a while back that Gamescom 2020 will kick-off on August 27th, 2020, with Sega, Bethesda, EA, and more to show up. Additionally, this year’s Gamescom Opening Night Live will feature 38 games along with new “announcements” and “world premieres.”

Both Gamescom and Opening Night Live will kick-off at 11:00 A.M. PT / 2:00 P.M. ET / 8:00 P.M. CEST on August 27th, 2020. Additionally, both the pre-show and the main show will run for two hours and a half on said date and time.

Furthermore, the Dorito Pope himself, Geoff Keighley, took to Twitter to detail how the show known as Opening Night Live will play host to showcasing 38 games along with new “announcements” and “world premieres.”

And yes, world premieres and other “special” announcements will be made regarding next-gen titles:

Last but not least, Gamescom 2020 is slated to go live digitally at 11:00 A.M. PT / 2:00 P.M. ET / 8:00 P.M. CEST on August 27th and will end three days later. The Opening Night Live event, like last year, will start before the actual show goes live.
