The Best Games for the PlayStation 5

Congratulations! You stood in line patiently and were rewarded with a PlayStation 5. You’ve managed to fit the device into your TV stand and get it to power up without any problems so far. What will be the next step? Which games, out of all the possibilities, are worth your attention and effort?

First and foremost, be aware of the following: Backward compatibility allows you to play most PS4 games on the PS5. We’ve compiled a list of the greatest games available for that platform right here.) On top of all that, PS Plus subscribers get access to the PS Plus Collection, which includes free titles like Bloodborne, Uncharted 4, and God of War from the PlayStation 4’s most well-known developers. Every one of those games may be obtained by going to the PS5’s dashboard and downloading them.

You can also play hundreds of PlayStation games on your PS5 through PS Now, a $10 monthly subscription that lets you stream or download them directly to your console. (What do you mean? How about our selection of the finest games available via the service? That’s all I’ve got for now.) Whatever you do, you’ll never run out of great fun to play on the PS5.

Mario Golf: Super Rush Review – A Rushed Bogey

It’s not necessary to go far if you’re in search of something really cutting-edge, something created with the new console in mind. Great games have been produced throughout generations, with the best being found on Sony’s latest PlayStation console. Currently, the system has fewer next-gen-only features, but those that it does have are very good. In no particular order, these are the greatest PS5 games.

Resident Evil Village:

You’ll be scared to death if you visit the Resident Evil Village for PlayStation. Resident Evil 7 left off, putting you in the shoes of Ethan Winters once again. Ethan’s wife and daughter are abducted and shot by Chris Redfield, another long-time Resident Evil hero. Redfield then vanishes into the night. Ethan is stranded in a sleepy European town, with no idea where he is or why he has arrived.

As a result, he only discovers monsters. There is less emphasis on action in this installment than in previous ones, but the tension is still palpable. There is a severe lack of ammunition. The DualSense’s pressure-sensitive triggers increase the effect of gun jamming. And although fear is a personal experience, there are times when it’s just frightening. Also, there’s a really tall woman in the group.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart:

This is the sequel to Ratchet & Clank: Rift Together, which you may have already played. Everything that made the series so famous in the first place is here, including the witty narrative, tight third-person shooting, and just the perfect amount of crazy antics. It’s not a game that completely reinvents the wheel, but Rift Apart does have some of the most pleasing visuals and gameplay on the current console generation. A new playable character, a Lombax named Rivet, adds some variety to the concept for your PlayStation 5.

Dr. Nefarious, a recurring antagonist from the series, obtains a gadget that gives its owner the ability to travel between realities. Of course, things go horribly wrong, and the world turns out to be…wait for it… To repair the Rift, in fact, you’ll have to hop between these two individuals — as well as between universes. It’s a big ask for a kitty and her human. You’ll be OK, however, thanks to your arsenal of over a dozen unique weapons, including one that converts nearby enemies into shrubbery.

Destiny 2:

Destiny 2 got a next-generation update in December for PlayStation 5. Bungie’s space-faring treasure crawl was a good shooter before the upgrade. It now has beautiful graphics, top-of-the-line performance, and even support for PvP at 120fps in the Crucible mode, making it one of the finest out there (provided you have a compatible display).

Updates in November (such as the Europa-bound Beyond Light) included a new region and objectives as well as new powers, but the core gameplay was primarily left unaltered for PlayStation. It’s worth getting back into the fray if you’ve been absent for some time. Beyond Light offers a simple starting point for new players, so if you haven’t played it before, now is as good a time as any.
