What You Should Know About Apple’s Recently Released iOS 12 Beta

As of June 4th, 2018, Apple released it’s first software update iOS 12 beta 1 to Developers to test and try out. Later in the month of June, Apple released iOS 12 beta 2 to the public to test out. As of today, July 3rd, iOS 12 beta 3 has been released.

If you are a iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch user this may be of interested to you, and if you are one who prefers not to wait until September for the final software update, I’m sure this information will interest you.

Let’s dive right into what iOS 12 has to offer.

First, at this years WWDC event held in June, keynote speaker Craig Federighi, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Software Engineering presented what the company’s objective was for iOS 12, Apple’s objective is to improve on users experiencing faster, more responsive, and improving it’s mobile operating system, with that said, let’s now find out all the goodies that iOS 12 has to offer to it’s users.

iOS 12 has been enhanced for a faster and more responsive experience all around, Apple states that users will experience up to 70% faster swipe to camera, up to 50% faster keyboard display, and up to 2x faster app launch under heavy workload. These improved performance enhancements are supported on all devices as far back to an iPhone 5s and iPad Air.

According to Apple’s main website, FaceTime will now be able to support up to 32 people at once, users can create Animoji for themselves and use in Messages and FaceTime, and four new Animoji have been created, Koala, Tiger, Ghost, and T. Rex. AR (Augmented Reality) the ARKit 2 now makes sending AR objects with Messages and Mail, also a new AR app in iOS called Measure will assist users in measuring in real world objects.

Screen Time allows users to keep track not only how much time the user spends using apps, visiting websites, and just overall device time, and parents can also monitor their children time on the devices, iOS 12 now allow users to set “Do not Disturb” for calls, meetings, etc. it will automatically turn off when the timed event ends. Siri Shortcut app allows the user to streamline daily routines to make life easier. And users can now expect more privacy, with Safari now preventing adverstiers from collecting your information from web-sites, also look for updates to Photos,AppleBooks, and Apple News. These are just some of the amenities users can look forward to seeing and using in the upcoming iOS 12 release in September.
