Tokyo Game Show 2019 To Kick-Off On September 12th, New Main visual Reveal

If you are interested in game events or you like Japanese related things, the annual expo known as the Tokyo Game Show will appear this year. More specifically, on September 12th comes the actual event itself. In the meantime, Ippei Gyoubu has revealed the upcoming event’s key design.

Just like last year, the Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA) has revealed the main visual artwork for this year’s Tokyo Game Show. Additionally, the upcoming event — Tokyo Game Show 2019 — is set to kick-off at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, except this time instead of going live on September 20th, it will go live on September 12th.

Secondly, Gyoubu has returned to do the artwork once again. If you don’t know, he’s been the one behind the key art for TGS since 2010. The newly revealed character art can be seen below.

If you can’t read the above notice, TGS 2019 is about being “more connected” and “more fun” as relayed below:

“This year’s main visual has been announced! This year also sees illustrator Ippei in charge of the 2019 theme.
“More connected. More fun” is this year’s theme. The main visual shows off many themes that will show up at Tokyo Game Show 2019. Please look forward to it!”

Last year, Sony’s conference showcased games like Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, God Eater 3, Jump Force, One Piece: World Seeker, Soul Calibur VI, Fallout 76, Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Collection, Devil May Cry 5, Mega Man 11, Onimusha: Warlords, and Resident Evil 2 Remake among other titles.

It’s unclear if Sony will tag along with other companies like Bandai Namco, Konami, Sega, Square Enix, Capcom, and others, or if they’ll sit this one out like E3 2019? Well, time will tell if all of the above companies will show up and if they’ll have something noteworthy at TGS 2019.

Hopefully, TGS 2019 focuses on fun games without any nonsense, surprise announcements and other things to get viewers and attendees excited. In the meantime, you can hit up expo.nikkeibp.co.jp for more info.
