Flying Tigers: Shadows Over China Release Date For Xbox One Is January 12th, 2018

ACE Maddox announced that pre-orders have opened up for the Xbox One release of Flying Tigers: Shadows Over China. The story-oriented arcade sim is themed around the aerial campaigns that took place over the Asian front by an elite group of American fighter pilots.

In addition to opening up pre-orders, the company also announced that the official release date for Flying Tigers: Shadows Over China for the Xbox One, which is set for January 12th, 2018.

You can check out a gameplay trailer below to see what the game will look like in action running on the Xbox One.

The game is based on a real life campaign in China, following a secret group of American fighter pilots who were brought in to help strengthen China’s aerial fighting force, blasting down any and everything in their path to become one of the most notorious squadrons in history.

The game has been out on PC for quite some time, originally having released back in May of 2017 on Steam. The game was notable for featuring an entire campaign based on an aspect of the war rarely ever mentioned in popular media, but the combination of arcade-style gameplay mechanics and multiple options left a lot of gamers impressed.

As mentioned, this is more of an arcade sim than a traditional flight sim. You’ll have features like TrazerTime at your disposal to slow down time and perform specialized combat maneuvers or take precision shots at enemies. There are also weather effects, more than 20 different planes to fly, and a multiplayer mode allowing for up to 16 players to go head-to-head.

The Xbox One version will be available worldwide and support up to 11 different languages.

Console gamers who have been absolutely starved for flight sims are excited about Flying Tigers since there’s been nothing but a dearth of aeronautical games on Microsoft’s home console.

You can look to get your hands on Flying Tigers: Shadows Over China starting January 12th, 2018.
