Best Fallout 4 Dogmeat Duplication Glitch Breaks After Patch 1.4

It’s back in action, and it works almost like it did in previous updates. The Dogmeat duplication glitch works on patch 1.4 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One for Fallout 4. It seems to operate a little differently from before, but it still grants players the option to duplicate more than one item in Fallout 4.

Thanks to YouTuber Davey Reetz, folks in the wasteland on consoles will be able to use their trusty or glitchy companion Dogmeat to duplicate stuff in Fallout 4. However, it’s worth noting that it doesn’t seem to work like the old method on previous patches.

The last version in the other patches gave you two items of the one you duplicated and could be stacked to make the process of getting more items and weapons quicker. However, Reetz notes that the glitch was tested on the Legendary submachine gun that produced two versions of the gun in a stack of six plain versions, which would equal out to be 6 plain submachine guns and one Legendary submachine gun.

Reetz also mentioned that folks will need to do some testing due to the glitch producing different results when using it. Looking over to the mechanics and how it works, players will need Dogmeat as their companion and standing away from them. Call Dogmeat over to pick the item or weapon up, and quickly start spamming the X button for PS4, or the A button for Xbox One when Dogmeat’s head is dipping down to pick the item or weapon up.

To further prove that this glitch actually worked, we see Reetz take the shipment to be converted at the end, which doesn’t happen. Although the glitch is a little mysterious in patch 1.4, we see that it still does work after the latest patch. If you have Fallout 4 you can check out the glitch right now for the Xbox One or PS4.
